Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
I was just reminded of the book series Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark.
These books seriously terrified me when I was a kid. Look at these illustrations! Who said “Ok, we’re making a book for kids. Let’s have it be full of illustrations that look like the work of a LESS well adjusted Ralph Steadman.” Pretty much every page had some nightmarish drawing of spiders crawling out of someone’s face or horrible rotting giant floating heads coming to kill someone.
Also, I’m still scared of scarecrows thanks to this. I’m pretty sure at least 33% of all scarecrows are evil and have an urge to murder.
I just received a compendium of these books the other day. Yes, compendium, who knew? misskatie:
book. More loved though because...like 4 times.. MEMORIEZ
IT WASN’T A CHIHUAHUA. IT WAS A RAT!
important to anyone that enjoyed these books-...
Weird. I just tweeted about this yesterday. I was saying how everything I know about spider bites comes from these...
These books scared the shit out of me!
SPIDERS INSIDE HER FACE! SPIDERS INSIDE HER FACE!
